This movie is a fascinating documentary portrait of a 1930s murder mystery as strange and alluring as the famous islands themselves. Fleeing conventional society, a Berlin doctor and his mistress start a new life on the uninhabited Floreana Island.

Before time runs out can you solve our very own "mystery" by answering all our quiz questions correctly? Don't worry, we have left clues in the questions to help you!

Everyone who gets all the answers correct by 15:00 UTC on 10th January 2020 will be entered into a prize draw to win a fantastic naturalist cruise for two people to the islands - including a visit to Floreana, scene of The Galapagos Affair.

25 lucky runners up will also receive a free copy of this fascinating movie to keep, either on DVD or digital download.

To bring this extraordinary story to life on the screen, filmmakers Dayna Goldfine and Dan Geller (Ballets Russes) nimbly interweaved newly unearthed home movies of the original settlers; testimonies of modern day islanders; stunning HD footage of native flora and fauna; and powerful voice performances by Oscar® winner Cate Blanchett, Diane Kruger, Connie Nielsen, Sebastian Koch, Thomas Kretschmann, Gustaf Skarsgård and Josh Radnor.

You can buy the DVD or stream the movie on Kino Lorber.
